Sustainable Development Goals and the contribution of Farmer Field Schools
In September 2015, the 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, built around 17 Global Goals. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) guide the actions of governments, international agencies, civil society and other institutions between 2015 and 2030. The SDGs aim to end poverty and hunger, while restoring and sustainably managing natural resources. FFS develop the skills and knowledge of producers, allowing them to create more efficient and sustainable production systems and contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.
