تقدم "منصة النظام الغذائي المستدام في البحر الأبيض المتوسط SFS-MED"، وهي مبادرة متعددة الأطراف أطلقها المركز الدولي للدراسات الزراعية العليا في البحر الأبيض المتوسط والفاو والاتحاد من أجل المتوسط، منتدىً لتيسير التعاون فيما وراء وقائع القمة، عن طريق تبادل النهج المشترك بشأن تحول النظم الغذائية وتعبئة الأموال وتشجيع الاستثمارات والقدرات والابتكار، باعتبارها استجابة منهجية للتحديات التي تقف عائقاً أمام المنطقة.
