Nyasha Tiriyavi is a research fellow at the UNU-MERIT (United Nations University).

She holds a PhD in Public Policy and Policy Analysis. She has extensive experience in the areas of social protection, food security and poverty reduction, and impact evaluations. She has worked as a social protection specialist, team leader and research analyst for a large variety of projects, primarily within the African context. Professional skills include policy analysis, quantitative research and and impact evaluation. She has worked for international organizations including FAO, Cyberplex Africa, UNRWA, GIZ, UN World Food Programme, IDRC, USAID, W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the World Bank.
