I am working on:
1. Afram Plains Economic Enclaves Irrigation Project covering land area of 3,300ha in six communities for vegetables and cereals production. 2. Agricultural Water Management Project in the northern ecological zones of Ghana being funded by the EU/AfD coveing over 1,000ha. 3. Rehabilitation and Modernisation of Kpong Irrigation Scheme covering 4,000ha for commercial and smallholder farming of rice and banana being funded by the World Bank.

I am 56 and a senior professional engineer and member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) with vast experience in management, writing and review of technical proposals for water resources development. I hold a post-graduate diploma from The Maastricht School of Management (MsM), The Netherlands April 2005 with a Pg. Dip.  Executive Program in Management, Specialisation in Project Appraisal and Management (PAM).

I obtained an MSc. Water Resources and Environmental Management (Specialisation-Groundwater Resources Evaluation and Management) from the University of Twente, International Institute for Geo information Sciences and Earth Observations (ITC), The Netherlands in 2001.

I hold a BSc. (Hons) Geodetic Engineering-2nd Class Upper Division from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana from October 1990 – July 1994.

For over 28 years, in my professional progression, I have rose through the ranks in engineering career from Assistant Engineer to the position of Acting Chief Executive. My main expertise has been in the preparation of Terms of References (ToRs) for recruitment of firms for consultancies assignments and works for civil engineering contractors. I also have extensive experience in coordination of teams during prefeasibility, feasibility and detailed studies; especially in the area of site identification and selection, field measurements, topographic survey & mapping for design and costing of small earth dams.

In project appraisal and management, I have led teams in the appraisal of potential sites, preparation of bill of quantities (BOQs), and evaluation of tender documents for award of contracts for the construction of Small earthdams and other water infrastructure throughout Ghana. From my studies at the Maastricht School of Management, I have undertaken the evaluation of the financial and technical viability of the projects using NPV and IRR analysis to assess project viability.

Over several years, as a senior profession engineer, I have been evaluating irrigation designs and certification of engineering designs for private commercial farmers for water abstraction permits from state institutions. I have also consulted for firms in the preparation of Business Plans for water resources development projects for aquaculture, livestock rearing and irrigation farming.

In the area of construction management, I was involved in the setting out of works, construction supervision and monitoring of civil engineering works, computation of volume of earthworks for payment of works on many donor funded projects. I have extensive experience in the control and supervision of multi-disciplinary professionals in the field of irrigation and have led several teams to carry out design review, construction supervision and carrying out of study and design in the irrigation sub-sector. 

In the field of academia, I have authored and co-authored four (4) scientific papers in the area of agricultural water management which have been published in international journals.
