The Exhibition of the Nansen Programme at the WTO Atrium

The Liaison Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN) in Geneva, the Permanent Missions of Norway, of the Republic of Cabo Verde, and of the Republic of the Gambia to the UN and other international  organizations in Geneva invite you to the Exhibition of the Nansen ProgrammeBridging Science and Sustainability.

Coinciding with FAO’s 80th anniversary and Nansen Programme’s 50th anniversary, the exhibition will aim to:

  • reiterate the critical role of scientific research in understanding marine ecosystems and addressing challenges;
  • promote efforts to build capacities to generate data and information to support fisheries policy formulation, assessment and management;
  • highlight the role of sustainable fisheries management in achieving food security and nutrition.

The exhibition will take place from 2 June to 13 June 2025 at the WTO Atrium.

The exhibition, via virtual reality experience, will also enable the attendees to take a virtual tour aboard the Research Vessel Dr. Fridtjof Nansen and explore the laboratories and advanced technologies used for marine research.
