FAO in Geneva 2024 Highlights (Part 2)

Looking back on 2024, the FAO Liaison Office in Geneva reviews the year's key milestones. Highlights include the joint FAO-IFRC Geneva Dialogue on Localization, focusing on building resilient agrifood systems in crisis contexts, and Deputy Director-General Beth Bechdol’s participation in the Roundtable on the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus for agriculture in forced displacement situations. FAO also made significant contributions to the WHO Pandemic Agreement, advocating for the One Health approach. Other milestones include the celebration of the International Year of Camelids and the SOFI 2024 press conference, emphasizing the importance of data in addressing global food security challenges.
