Programming and UN Relations

The FAO in Georgia Programming and UN Relations Unit ensures effective coordination of FAO’s country programming, facilitating partnerships with government institutions, development partners, and UN agencies. It provides technical and policy support to integrate food security, sustainable agriculture, and rural development into national strategies. Additionally, the Unit leads the preparation, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the FAO Country Programming Framework (CPF), ensuring coherence with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF). Through strategic planning, resource mobilization, and interagency collaboration, the Unit advances FAO’s mission to support inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems in Georgia, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
