Resilience

The Resilience team plays a critical role in strengthening the livelihoods and food security of conflict affected communities in Georgia. The team implements projects to support farming communities affected by the conflict on both sides of the ABLs, through extension support to farmers in sustainable agriculture, from vegetable production, grapevine production and dairy and animal husbandry, with an important focus on good practices, integrated pest management and women empowerment. These efforts contribute to increase the resilience and self-reliance of rural communities, which have been significantly impacted by the different conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The Resilience team is committed to inclusive, evidence-based interventions that address both immediate needs and long-term development priorities, fostering collaborations between the communities across the ABLs.
