On June 22, 2023, the OECD Sahel and West Africa Club are organizing a workshop of international professionals with a primary emphasis on predicting forthcoming growth using fundamental variables such as demography, urban structure, and land usage. The issue of urban expansion poses a significant difficulty for policymakers in Africa despite enabling an increase in prospects for local inhabitants. Giving policymakers access to data concerning aspects related to the rate, location and estimated duration regarding urbanization may support better targeted policies that result in favourable outcomes on field operations.
