A three-day technical training workshop has been organized on the use of LCCS in Yemen from 20 to 22 November 2023. More than 20 experts participated from key stakeholder organizations including Yemen Remote Sensing and GIS Center (YRSC), Water and Environment Center (WEC), Ministry of Agriculture and irrigation, and others. The objective of this training was to strengthen and enhance the national technical capacities in developing land cover reference system and national land cover legend using tools based on international standards i.e., 19144-2/LCML to support land cover monitoring ongoing projects in the country.
