Colombia ha posicionado los bosques como un pilar central de su estrategia climática. Este compromiso se refleja en instrumentos clave de política pública como la Estrategia Nacional para la Reducción de las Emisiones por Deforestación y Degradación de los Bosques (ENREDD+), las Contribuciones Determinadas a Nivel Nacional (NDC), la Ley de Acción Climática y los reportes nacionales presentados ante la Convención Marco de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Climático (CMNUCC). Alcanzar estas metas ambiciosas requiere no solo marcos de política robustos, sino también la capacidad de traducir los compromisos nacionales en acciones coordinadas en el territorio.

Sustainable agriculture and forests are mutually reinforcing pillars that support Africa’s long-term development. With agriculture central to the continent’s economies and projected population growth, strengthening agriculture–forestry linkages is increasingly recognized as a key transformation needed to enhance productivity, resilience, livelihood, and food security while reducing deforestation.
