EAF-Nansen Programme

The Programme provides technical support to field projects in partner countries across Africa, aimed at promoting sustainable fisheries management in line with the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries (EAF).

These projects work to strengthen capacities, structures, and processes for enhanced fisheries management. By advancing sustainable fisheries practices, they contribute to food and nutrition security while also promoting gender equality within the fisheries sector. Additionally, the projects play an active role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that fisheries contribute not only to economic growth but also to environmental sustainability and social inclusion.
