04 December 2020; Baku – Azerbaijan officially joined one of the projects implemented under the FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme on Food and Agriculture (FTPP II) titled Capacity Development for Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Management in Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Turkey (FISHCap).  

8 December 2020, Ankara, Turkey – A virtual workshop kicked off a new FAO project that establishes a Regional Cooperation Centre for Sustainable Food Systems for Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) countries. 

2 December 2020 - Turkmenistan officially endorsed a set of projects on reducing food loss and waste, improving fisheries and aquaculture management, and increasing fungal resistance of wheat, funded by the FAO-Turkey Partnership Programme on Food and Agriculture.

26 November 2020, Ankara - Turkey, FAO and the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry convened a meeting of high-level officials from Central Asia to establish a joint Food Loss and Waste Strategy Committee mandated to oversee the development and implementation of the regional food loss and waste reduction programme.  

26 October 2020; Baku- Monthly webinar series titled the State of Fishery and Aquaculture Industry Briefing started with Azerbaijan on October 19 with the participation of various stakeholders including representatives from FAO, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey (MAF), and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and the private sector.
