Official Launch of the Standards of Practice for Ecosystem Restoration
We cordially invite you to participate in the launch event hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER), and the IUCN's Commission on Ecosystem Management. This event marks the official unveiling of the "Standards of Practice to Guide Ecosystem Restoration: A Contribution to the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021–2030."
These Standards of Practice have been developed to serve as a universal framework for all forms of restorative efforts during the UN Decade, ranging from minimizing societal impacts to advancing ecological restoration. The document boasts over 300 actionable recommendations aimed at enhancing the benefits of ecosystem restoration for both humanity and the natural world, covering a diverse range of ecosystems, including forests and oceans.
The collaborating organizations will host two sessions featuring individuals who played a crucial role in the creation of this vital guide.
