Introduction of water tenure at the 2nd Arab Land Conference
The KnoWat project will present a paper on “Water Governance and Tenure Approaches for Securing Rights and Advancing Climate Resilience” during the 2nd Arab Land Conference, as part of the “Land management in time of crisis: conflicts, climate change and epidemics” technical session on Tuesday 23 February from 10:30 to 12:00 (Cairo time).
Building on the lessons learned and the advantages of mobilizing the concept of tenure of land, forestry and fisheries, the paper aims to introduce the concept of water tenure to the land tenure community, in order to promote and advocate the concept and methodology developed by the project in a larger outlook and develop potential synergies with the land tenure perspective.
