The French version of the FAO Sourcebook on Water Accounting and Auditing is now available online. The publication provides advice on the use of water accounting and auditing. It recommends combining water accounting and water governance assessment to improve water-related decision making at local, regional and national levels.
The publication was prepared with the support of the project “Implementing the 2030 Agenda for water efficiency/productivity and water sustainability in the NENA Region” funded by the Government of Sweden, and the project “Knowing water better: towards fairer and more sustainable access to natural resources - KnoWat“ funded by the Government of Germany. It is a translation of the English Sourcebook which was published in 2016.
