Kyrgyzstan, as a landlocked developing country, faces distinct hurdles in growing its aquatic food sector due to its remoteness from the sea. The Sustainable Fish Value Chains for Landlocked Developing Countries (SVC4LLDCs) project works to turn these constraints into opportunities by advancing sustainable fisheries and aquaculture. Through targeted support in production, market access, policy, and skills development, the project aims to build resilient value chains adapted to the country's needs.
