Sustainable Fish Value Chains for Landlocked Developing Countries (SVC4LLDCs)
The SVC4LLDCs project focuses on enhancing production efficiency, market access and sustainability of aquatic food value chains in selected Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs). These countries face unique challenges due to their lack of access to the sea, including dependence on neighbouring countries for international trade, limited access to aquatic resources, and high import reliance for aquatic products. Despite these constraints, fisheries and aquaculture offer significant opportunities to improve livelihoods, food security and economic development.
Through policy and regulatory support, capacity development, and targeted investments, SVC4LLDCs supports the development of competitive and resilient fisheries and aquaculture sectors in:
