Monitoring and Analysing Food and Agricultural Policies

Data hub

Data are at the heart of MAFAP's analyses.

And now by leveraging Microsoft's PowerBI to visualize our data, see how much countries in sub-Saharan African countries are spending on food and agriculture, as well price incentives indicators for key agricultural commodities that reveal whether farmers or traders benefit from, or are penalized by, the policies in place in terms of the prices they sell at.

On the 3-bar icon on the top left-hand side, choose the type of data you want to see:

  • An overview
  • Public expenditure
  • Price incentives

Ag-Incentives Consortium

The programme's policy-monitoring team is also the FAO focal point for the Ag-Incentives Consortium and for data on Africa.

Ag-Incentives is a global agricultural incentives dashboard that shows how current domestic policies and measures affect agricultural price incentives, which have particularly strong impacts on the poor and vulnerable communities.

The Ag-Incentives Consortium comprises the OECD, FAO, IFPRI, Inter-American Development Bank, and the World Bank.
