MAFAP Holds its First Capacity Development Workshop in Mozambique
This workshop marked the beginning of MAFAP activities to establish a sustainable policy monitoring in the country.
In Mozambique, MAFAP is working in partnership with the National Economics Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering at UEM, and the National Directorate for the Analysis and Studies of Policies of the Ministry of Planning and Development.
During the technical workshop, country partners and other interested stakeholders were introduced to MAFAP’s methodology and how it can be useful to national policy-makers.
Opening remarks were given by Mr. Norberto Mahalambe, Director of the Cotton Institute of Mozambique, Ms. Margarida Marques, Assistant FAO Representative to Mozambique, and Mr. Emilio Tostão, Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering at UEM.
