It offers a cross-country comparison of public expenditure in selected African countries and assesses policy coherence between public expenditure, policy decisions and policy objectives in those countries.

The purpose of the study is to enhance evidence-based discussions on the coherence of African agriculture policy within the framework of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme. It was jointly produced by the MAFAP team of Rome and Burkina Faso.
