Brazil–FAO South-South Cooperation Programme

The Brazil–FAO South-South Cooperation Programme is a consolidated initiative with more than 15 years of experience, dedicated to improving food security and living conditions in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Drawing on Brazil’s experience in public policies to eradicate hunger and reduce poverty, the Programme promotes agricultural innovation, sustainable development and institutional strengthening in partner countries. Through a model of implementation, monitoring, governance and intersectoral collaboration based on Trilateral South-South Cooperation (TSSC), FAO and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) work in partnership to promote sustainable agriculture and facilitate the exchange of experiences.

This joint effort contributes to capacity development, mutual learning and the building of strategic partnerships across the region.
