Food security and agriculture: accelerating adaptation (SAGA 2)

SAGA 2, a multi-stakeholder, multi-scale partnership to help producers adapt to climate change

The "Food security and agriculture: accelerating adaptation" (SAGA 2) (2023-2027) aims to reinforce the implementation of climate adaptation for food security in three Francophone countries: Côte d'Ivoire, Haiti and Senegal.

It responds to the call of the Paris Agreement and the countries' call for more ambitious collaborative efforts to plan, implement, and monitor the adaptation component of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) for the agricultural sectors. As the second FAO project implemented through a financial and technical partnership with the government of Quebec, SAGA 2 builds on the successes of the pilot phase (2019–2023) in Haiti and Senegal.
