How to participate

Participate with us in sharing experiences and disseminating knowledge:

FAO welcomes participation in this Platform through the contribution of knowledge about comprehensive sustainable development approaches with the following possibilities:

Collaborations, in which research organizations, universities, and others can provide specific content for the conceptual framework of the comprehensive approaches;
Territorial Opinions, in which governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, development organizations, and agricultural organizations can offer their opinions in interviews;
Territorial Experiences, in which interested organizations and project implementation units can share their experiences.

An open, participatory platform

In today’s digital era, knowledge platforms require continuous updating and extensive collaboration. In this vein, FAO has developed and improved the Inclusive and Sustainable Territories and Landscapes Platform as an open, participatory platform designed to promote integrated visions of sustainable development, using territorial and/or landscape development approaches, as a response to poverty reduction.

With everything we have learned, we are now prepared to face the challenges ahead presented by poverty and development through tried and true approaches, lessons learned and new measures. Through this Platform, FAO hopes to foster new ways for people and organizations to interact that will reinforce their participation and maximize the experience of local actors. With the goal of meeting the specific needs of local actors and sharing success stories of applying these integrated approaches among different countries and regions, the Platform offers people and organizations the opportunity to propose initiatives to the project team so that they can be added to its content, either through Case Studies, Territorial Experiences, Territorial Opinions, or Collaborations.
