Only the main events organized in the country are summarized in the table below. Egypt hosting the FAO regional office and the project management team, have hosted a number of international events where the other countries were invited.

| Three sites | As part of a regional training on crop mapping using remote sensing, country teams collected data points in three sites over two seasons, prepared crop maps using remote sensing, and presented results to the government. | |
Aug. | Study tour | A study tour was implemented in Italy on sustainable water management and irrigation modernization. Four officials participated, two from MWRI, two from MALR and the FAO country coordinator. | |
Sept. | Conference | Participation in the World Irrigation Forum organized by ICID, with contribution from the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation at the high level policy panel and the Planning Director presenting water accounting. | |
Oct. | Cairo | Two technical sessions were implemented with 200 participants at the Cairo Water Week on water accounting, and water productivity. Also, a regional training on advanced water accounting was implemented to 40 participants, as an introduction for analysts. A booth was also set up with different activities and presentations. | |
Dec. | Study Tour | A study tour was implemented in Australia on sustainable water management and irrigation modernization. Four officials participated, two from MWRI, two from MALR and one from FAO Egypt. | |
Dec. | Country-wide | Preliminary baseline on crop water productivity for strategic crops from national literature was produced and presented at the Regional water productivity Conference in Tunisia. | |
