Basic training on PSEA for implementing partners and project beneficiaries

Jakarta (Indonesia), 08/10/2025 - 09/10/2025

The phenomenon of SEA cases is an iceberg phenomenon. It can happen anywhere (including in the project site) and has the potential to affect anyone (in any relationship) and at any time. Therefore, commitment from all parties to STOP violence is highly important, including sexual violence against women and children.

The basic training on PSEA will be organized in close collaboration with the DKP of East Lombok considering their coordination role and support in the future implementation of the TCP INS 4003.

The day 1 of the training will be dedicated to government partners and seaweed farmers (male), while the day 2 of the training will be dedicated to seaweed farmers (female) and women representative of processing groups and PKK. The training is segregated by sex to promote a fairness and safety due to inherent physiological differences and some issues related PSEA that might more sensitive for women. This will also allow a safe and empowering environment, particularly for women, by allowing them to share experiences and voices without fear of harassment or judgment. Additionally, it can offer a space to learn and develop knowledge where participants feel less intimidated and more able to focus.
