The Crop Diversity Conservation for Sustainable Use in Indonesia Project (01-Feb-2023 to 31-Jan-2028) aims to address the challenges currently limit the conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources of crops in Indonesia – rice, taro, yam, nutmeg and clove in Central Kalimantan, Central Java and North Maluku Provinces.

Objectives of the field visit are:
  • Review and advance the implementation of project activities in North Maluku;- Strengthen collaboration and coordination with government counterparts, implementing partners, and local stakeholders;
  • Review field conditions, project sites, and ongoing initiatives relevant to biodiversity conservation, sustainable food systems, and community-based innovations;
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, scaling, partnerships, and knowledge exchange under the project;
  • Gather field-level information and recommendations to support project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
