Development of FMD surveillance technical guideline

Indonesia applies the Progressive Control Pathway for FMD (PCP-FMD), currently at Phase 1, which focuses on understanding the epidemiology of the virus and adopting a risk-based approach to reduce its impact. The Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health has issued guidelines and protocols, including post-vaccination monitoring. Strengthened technical guidance on surveillance is needed to track virus circulation and mitigate risks in both free and endemic areas.
