Field visit to AIBDES Project's four targeted landscapes

Directorate of Ecosystems Restoration and Management of Preservation Areas (Dit. PEBAP that was previously known as Directorate of Ecosystem Management and Restoration or Dit.BPPE) and FAO developed PIF entitled “Strengthening the integrated landscape management and governance for the conservation and sustainable use of forested areas important for biodiversity and ecosystem services (AIBDES) in Indonesia” to the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and it was endorsed by the GEF CEO for Prodoc development in December 2024. The Prodoc submission to the GEF Secretariat is due in October 2025 so mission to target landscapes need to be carried out to gather information needed to develop the AIBDES Project Document (Prodoc).
The purpose of the mission that was carried out from 20 April to 10 May 2025 are:
- Engaging with a diverse stakeholder from provincial, district and village level, related to data collection on environment and social safeguards, gender, private sector and livelihoods, conservation finance and stakeholders.
- Collecting data and information regarding social safeguards, gender, and financial situation
