Second social forestry mitigation assessment workshop in Indonesia

The overall objective of the workshop is to support conducting a systematic mitigation assessment for SF in Indonesia. This workshop is a second part of the joint analysis activity with the Directorate General of Social Forestry and Environmental Partnership of Indonesia Ministry of Environment and Forestry.  

The specific objectives of the workshop to: 

Disseminate FAO’s on-going work on the development of carbon accounting for SF in Indonesia

• Manual and development of mitigation assessment for social forestry
• Guideline for carbon measurement in Social Forestry
• Other tools that can support the process (e.g. Deforisk, se.plan)
• Produce draft mitigation assessments for SF in seven regions in the country. 
  

Have increased capacity on the use of sample-based area estimation (SBAE).
