FAO Hands over ADRM Strategy and Plan to the Government of Jamaica

Jamaica’s new Agricultural Disaster Risk Management Framework and Strategic Plan was officially handed over by FAO to the Government of Jamaica.

Mr Juan Cheaz Pelaez, FAO Officer-in-Charge officially handed over the document to Mr Winston Shaw, Senior Director, Division of Technology, Training and Technical Information and Climate Change contact for the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA) today during a ceremony at the FAO office in Kingston, Jamaica.

The handing over of the document is symbolic of RADA’s commitments to implementing a strategic plan geared towards strengthening agricultural disaster risk management in Jamaica for the next 10 years.
