Gender-disaggregated information is a necessary tool to address questions on gender equality. AQUASTAT, FAO’s global water information system, implemented a pilot project to develop methodological tools for the integration of gender-sensitive indicators on the water sector in general and on agricultural water management in particular. Results of the project, implemented in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia, are now available.
