Despite global improvements, inequalities persist, exacerbating nutritional and social issues, especially in Low-Income and Lower Middle-Income countries. This report urges stakeholders to recognize the systemic nature of food systems and address their multiple risks for a more sustainable and equitable future.

The “Regional Initiative for Dryland Management” was designed to bring together technical experts from Israel and Arab countries in an attempt to build bridges of confidence among conflicting parties, bridges that would eventually facilitate rapprochement and ultimately peace. The Initiative’s objective was to bring experts together to discuss technical issues of mutual interest, in this case dryland management and desertification.
