Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance Partnership (LEAP)

The Steering Committee plays a pivotal role in providing overall leadership and approves the work programme of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (LEAP) Partnership. It comprises representatives from three key stakeholder groups:

  • governments
  • the private sector
  • civil society organizations and NGOs

The chairmanship of the Steering Committee rotates annually among these three stakeholder groups to ensure equitable representation and decision-making. Regular meetings of the Steering Committee foster collaborative dialogue and consensus-based decisions.
