Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock (GASL)

The Global Agenda for Sustainable Livestock (GASL) is a partnership of stakeholders committed to the sustainable development of the livestock sector. It answers the need for concerted and collective action to address the sector’s unprecedented challenges.

With global population projected to reach 9.6 billion in 2050, demand for livestock products is projected to grow by 20 percent. The sector needs to respond to a growing demand for meat, eggs and milk driven by a growing world population, but also by increasing affluence and urbanization.
