Assessment Methods - Public health pesticides

The assessment methods tool provides the registrar with guidance on the various methods, procedures and models that are available to evaluate specific parts of the registration dossier of a public health pesticide.

Some assessment methods are generic, irrespective whether the pesticide will be used in e.g. agriculture or public health. Others are more specific for public health pesticides.

1 Generic methods are in principle applicable to all types of pesticides; specific methods for PHPs are tailored for the assessment of public health pesticides

 
The Pesticide Registration Toolkit provides, whenever possible, assessment methods at different levels of complexity, starting with relatively simple methods requiring fewer resources. As a registration authority gains over time in staff resources and (access to) scientific capacity for pesticide valuation, increasingly complex but more precise methods may be chosen.
