Partnerships in seed sector development in Ethiopia (Short Version)

The Integrated Seed Sector Development project in Ethiopia (ISSD Ethiopia) aims to improve smallholder farmer access to and use of quality seed of new, improved, and/or farmer preferred varieties to sustainably increase agricultural productivity.

This video highlights the problems of lack of quality seed and capacity of producers and exporters, as well as insufficient collaboration, coordination and management across the seed value chain. It emphasizes the importance of establishing partnerships to strengthen seed sector governance and explains the process of promoting collaboration through regional partnerships to discuss the bottlenecks and design solutions.
