"Keep It Fresh!" NYSP2I Student Packaging Research Symposium

Binghamton (United States), 29/09/2023

The New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I) kicked off the new Student and Faculty Research Program last May. “Keep It Fresh!” is a summer-long research challenge that will conclude with an academic symposium at Binghamton University’s Innovative Technologies Complex on September 29, 2023. The event will showcase the results of four unique student-led projects, each exploring how better packaging can minimize spoilage to keep food from going to waste.

About the program

The NYSP2I Student and Faculty Research Program was created to give undergraduates from the New York State-funded institute’s five partner universities the chance to work with faculty and graduate students on original scientific research. Together, teams propose, research, develop, and design solutions to real-world environmental challenges. A closing symposium offers students an opportunity to present their findings and participate in an academic poster exhibition.
