The conference jointly organized by the UNECE and FAO in Geneva, will focus on some of the key tropics described above and identify areas of possible interventions for UNECE, FAO and its partners. In addition to providing an overview of the food loss and waste situation globally, it will discuss the role of quality requirements and standards and their potential role in causing but more importantly avoiding food losses around the globe.
