CLCPRO - Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Western Region
CLCPRO (Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Western Region) was established in 2002 and succeeded CLCPANO (Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in North-West Africa). The purpose of the CLCPRO is to promote at national, regional, and international levels all actions, including research and capacity development, to ensure a rational and sustainable management of preventive control and to deal with desert locust invasions in the western region of its habitat area, which includes West and North-West Africa.
