Where is the FAO Science and Innovation Forum 2025 (SIF 2025) taking place? 
The FAO SIF 2025 will be held in a hybrid format, with sessions at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, and virtually through an online platform.

Participation modalities 

How can I participate in the Forum? 
To join the SIF 2025, you can participate in-person or virtually by completing the online registration process. Kindly be aware that participants must cover their own travel expenses and make necessary visa arrangements. 

What are the eligibility criteria for participation in the Forum? 
For the audience, the event is open to all. There are no specific criteria to join the sessions. Simply complete online registration to gain access. We welcome all who are interested to join us in this enriching experience. 

I am a government official of a FAO Member; how can I participate in the Forum? 
We kindly request that FAO Members register through the Members Gateway. This registration is necessary for both in-person and virtual participation.  

Therefore, if you are a government official who will participate in this Forum, we advise you to liaise with your country's Permanent Representative to FAO to facilitate your registration through the Members Gateway

How can I register for the Forum? 
Online registration is open.
Your participation is eagerly anticipated, and we look forward to welcoming you! 

I received an invitation to participate in the Forum; do I still need to register online?

Even if you have received a personal invitation to be a keynote speaker, panelist, or moderator at the Forum, we kindly request that you complete the online registration process as described in points 4 and 5 above. This ensures access to a FAO building pass and online resources like the agenda, session schedules, and session recordings. Your registration will streamline our coordination efforts and enhance your overall experience at the event.

Visa 

I received an invitation to participate in the Forum and I need a visa to travel to Italy, how can I get an assistance? 
If you have received an invitation to participate in person and need to obtain a visa, we recommend that you contact the nearest Italian Embassy or Consulate for guidance. It is advisable to initiate this process at least 30 days prior to the Forum date to ensure ample time for visa processing. 

Abstract or proposal for presentation 

Can I submit an abstract or proposal for presentation at the Forum? 
The FAO Science and Innovation Forum 2025 will not accept abstract submissions or proposals for presentations. We have already prepared the Forum's content and speakers.
