Under GEF Operational Phase 8 (OP8), FAO is working closely with SGP Country Programmes to build on lessons from previous phases and foster synergies with larger GEF and GCF initiatives. This collaboration aims to deepen the integration of local production systems within landscape and seascape approaches, enhance climate resilience, promote sustainable value chains, with a whole-of-society approach and empower local communities in managing natural resources.

FAO is now working towards operationalizing the Small Grants Programme at the national level and developing SGP country programme strategies in following countries:
