Resource Mobilization for SSTC - Africa Group

OG Group

FAO seeks to mainstream SSTC at corporate and operational levels and is optimizing the impact and visibility of SSTC across the regions, sub-regions and countries, including through strengthening relationships with partners, towards achieving the SDGs. Close engagement with countries and regions, resource partners as well as with FAO streams/offices/centers, is critical for improving the SSTC modality mechanism.

In the past, 85 experts were fielded in three countries: Burkina Faso, Niger and Djibouti. Morocco will also provide both financial support and technical assistance through a USD 1 million general agreement recently signed with FAO for the benefit of African countries. In this framework, tripartite agreements have been signed with Guinea and Mali.
