Iraq - Country Water Resources Assistance Strategy

FAO partnered with the Government of Iraq and the World Bank in the preparation of a Country Water Resources Assistance Strategy which helped to identify roles for donors for critical support needed in the water resources and irrigation sector. The Investment Centre provided advisory support to the Government and helped guide national staff in the preparation of several background reports for the Strategy. The Centre is currently assisting the Bank in the preparation of their new water management investment project which will build on the success of the Bank’s Emergency Community Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project.
