A value chain analysis of cashew nut in Benin and Cote d'Ivoire commissioned by the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries. The value chain analysis includes a general overview from inputs to retail and an examination of the enabling environment and governance. There is a specific focus on the processing segment. There is also an anlaysis of the social and environmental sustainability of the processing segment. Finally, the report examines the competitive advantage of cashew nut processing in West Africa, opportunities for support and final recommendations.
