The Turkish Seed Industries Association (TURKTED) will be organizing an international online seed fair on 23-29 November 2020. As a supporting organization, FAO Turkey will take place in the fair with its own stands broadcasting two videos one on FAO`s work on seeds and genetic resources and the other on International Year of Plant Health (IYPH). This will help awareness raising of a large community on the importance of seeds, genetic resources and plant health for sustainability and improvement of agricultural production as well as promoting FAO`s work in these areas. Furthermore, FAO will support participation of NGOs from the seed sector from Central Asian countries in the fair facilitating presentation of their work.

Participants of the fair will be seed firms, the companies of seed preparation machinery and equipment, the producers of plant protection products, the producers of seed coating materials, the producers of fertilizers and NGOs and public institutions working in the seed related sectors.

In the fair, participants will be able to communicate with each other and better display their products and work. The participation fee for the fair is 200 Euros for those who wish to have a space to display their products and activities. There is no fee for the visitors and they are encouraged to visit the fair and interact with the partners.
