Report launch event: “Empowering Rural Smallholders in Turkey through Digital Marketing and Business Solutions in post COVID-19 Period”

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey (MOAF) have jointly conducted a study published as the report Empowering Rural Smallholders in Turkey through Digital Marketing and Business Solutions in the Post-COVID-19 Period. The report will be launched virtually on Friday, 3 June at 10.30–11.50 am.

The study was conducted across implementation areas for IFAD projects in Turkey, and aims to empower rural smallholders through digital marketing and business solutions for the post-COVID-19 period. The study also provides evidence-based support for a UN-level COVID-19 Assessment Report conducted in 2021 entitled “Rapid Impact Assessment of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Agri-Food Sector and Rural Areas in Turkey”.
