FAO in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan joined the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 2001 and opened its country office in 2014. Working in close partnership with the Government, FAO supports efforts to strengthen food security and nutrition, promote sustainable and inclusive agrifood systems, enhance climate resilience, and ensure efficient management of natural resources. Guided by the Country Programming Framework 2021–2025, FAO's activities contribute to national priorities and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, creating better livelihoods and opportunities for rural communities, youth and women.
