The official celebration of World Food Day at FAO Headquarters coincides with the Mayors’ Summit organised by the municipality of Milan and supported by FAO.
Mayors subscribing to the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact are gathering for a second time to discuss their collaborative efforts to develop sustainable food systems in cities worldwide, and to share experiences and best practices.
FAO is supporting this initiative by helping to establish indicators that will measure the impact of the Pact, and by exchanging best practices among cities.
