Sheikh Zayed Centre (FAO Headquarters)
06.10.2016
 Rome time

The objective of the event is to reflect on the importance of Free Prior and Informed Consent in FAO’s and partner organization work when dealing with indigenous peoples and local communities.

The event will consist of an interactive discussion with Indigenous Peoples, Partner Organizations, Resource Partners and FAO.   At the event, the newly finalized manual on how to implement Free Prior and Informed Consent, will be officially launched.  This manual is the result of a joint collaboration and over one year of work by FAO, the IFRC, Action Aid, Action Against Hunger, World Vision, AECID, and GIZ.
